Air France is expanding in West Africa by launching flights to Freetown and Monrovia and increasing services to Conakry.
Air France will fly to Freetown, the capital of Sierra Leone, from 19th April 2011 with twice weekly flights on Tuesdays and Sundays via Conakry.
From 20 April 2011, the carrier will also launch services to Monrovia, the capital of Liberia, with twice weekly flights on Wednesdays and Fridays, via Conakry.
Flights will depart from Paris Charles de Gaulle at 10:30am, arriving in Freetown at 16:30 in the afternoon. The return leg will take-off from Freetown at 19:35 in the evening, touching down in Paris CDG at 6am the following day.
Flights will leaves Paris CDG at 10:30am, arrives in Monrovia at 17:00 in the evening. The return flight will leave at 19:10 in the evening, arriving in Paris CDG at 6am the next day.
From 17 April 2011, Air France began flying to Conakry, the capital of Guinea, on a daily basis. Four of these flights per week will be direct flights, whilst the other three will be operated via Nouakchott.
The aircraft used on these routes to Conakry, Nouakchott, Freetown and Monrovia will be an Airbus A330-200 with 208 seats. The plane is configured with three cabin classes, featuring 40 Business Class seats, 21 Premium Voyageur seats and 147 Voyageur seats.

Business Class passengers with Air France receive a privileged travel experience. They can select their seat on booking and receive seamless, priority service at the airport. They benefit from dedicated welcome and check-in desks, priority channels through customs and security, use of the Business lounge, and priority boarding. They are also the first to disembark from the aircraft at their final destination and can enjoy priority baggage delivery of their checked baggage.
Business class customers benefit from access to 500 lounges worldwide, including nearly 50 Air France lounges, where they can relax before and after their flight.
Onboard the aircraft Business Class guests have a more comfortable seat with a fixed shell structure guaranteeing privacy. The seat has an integrated footrest which allows for a more stable sleeping position when the seat is in the bed position. The leather headrest is made of softer materials and can be adjusted vertically and horizontally with moveable wings.
During taxiing, take-off and landing the seat can be adjusted to new relaxation positions, with legs extended. When passengers would like to sleep, the seat can fold out to become a near-horizontal bed over 2 metres in length, which is one of the longest beds on the market.
